The data panel is tab separated, one row per point. Two columns are x and y; with three columns the first one is the name of the point. You can paste straight from a spreadsheet. In the design panel, pick a part to change the shape and color of the points, the interval of each axis, the grid lines, and the font.
Each axis takes its range from the data until you set one. Enter min and max together for an axis in the style panel and the range stays fixed. Drag the chart to move it and use the wheel to zoom. The zoom level sits at the bottom right.
