Press an element and its values appear on the right: atomic number, symbol, atomic weight, the electrons in each shell, ionization energy, electronegativity, atomic radius, melting point and boiling point.
The panel names at the top right open and close each panel. Drag a panel by its header to move it: panels snap to each other and to the screen edge, and a panel resting on an edge drops the rounded corner on that side. Double-click a panel title to switch between floating panels and a single fixed panel at the top right.
The row above chooses which property colours the table. Ionization energy darkens the top right; atomic radius darkens the bottom left. The same table looks like a completely different pattern depending on what you ask of it, and that pattern is the periodic trend.
Elements whose value is not established stay uncoloured. Several of the superheavy elements have either never been measured or exist only as calculated estimates, and estimates are not listed here.
