Mistral Large 4 costs $1.36 in and $4.18 out, at half price for two weeks after launch

Mistral released Mistral Large 4 (mistral-large-4) in Public Preview on 6 October 2026⁠[1]. It is a general-purpose multimodal model with a Mixture-of-Experts architecture and a 1 million token context window⁠[1].

The standard price per million tokens is $1.36 input, $0.14 cached input and $4.18 output⁠[2]. For two weeks after launch it is half price: $0.68, $0.07 and $2.09⁠[1,2].

Large 3 costs $0.5 input and $1.5 output, so the standard price of Large 4 is about 2.7 and 2.8 times that⁠[2]. Even at the launch discount, Large 4 costs about 1.4 times Large 3⁠[2].

Medium 3.5 costs $1.5 input and $7.5 output, so even at its standard price Large 4 is about 10 percent cheaper on input and more than 40 percent cheaper on output⁠[2].

It was announced as an open-weight model, and the weights are coming soon⁠[1].
