by 以外の前置詞を使う受動態｜中学英語
受動態では「〜によって」を表すのに by を使いますが、動詞によっては by 以外の前置詞を使う表現があります。これらは熟語として覚えておきましょう。
be interested in（〜に興味がある）
I am interested in Japanese history.
私は日本の歴史に興味があります。
She is interested in music.
彼女は音楽に興味があります。
interest は「〜に興味を持たせる」という意味なので、受動態で「興味を持たされている」→「興味がある」となります。
be surprised at（〜に驚く）
I was surprised at the news.
私はその知らせに驚きました。
We were surprised at his success.
私たちは彼の成功に驚きました。
be excited about（〜にワクワクする）
The children are excited about the trip.
子どもたちは旅行にワクワクしています。
I'm excited about the concert.
私はコンサートが楽しみです。
be known to（〜に知られている）
He is known to everyone in this town.
彼はこの町のみんなに知られています。
The fact is known to all of us.
その事実は私たち全員に知られています。
「〜として知られている」は be known as を使います。
He is known as a great scientist.
彼は偉大な科学者として知られています。
