英語で「順番は〜位である」という

I was in 3rd place.
I got the 3rd.
私は3番目だった。

「〜番目だった」は be in … place という言い方があります。3rd は third と読みます。1番目は 1st (first)、2番目は 2nd (second) と読みます。
